NEW YORK PROPANE GAS ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP DEFINITIONS - 2010
INTRA-STATE MARKETER
- Any person, firm, or corporation operating in the State of New York whose business is the sale of propane gas.
- Sales are made directly to ultimate consumers and/or indirectly through established dealers to ultimate consumers.
- The seller does not have more than one plant outside the State of New York.
- The seller does more than 90 percent of his gallonage sales in the State of New York.
- Membership in this category includes membership in the National Propane Gas Association.
Annual Dues Investment Schedule – Dues are collected by bulk plant locations as defined in NFPA #58:
The definition of a “bulk plant” per NFPA #58 is “a facility where the primary function is to store LP-gas prior to further distribution. LP-Gas is received by cargo tank vehicle, or pipeline, and then distributed by portable container (package) delivery, by cargo tank vehicle or through gas piping.”
Intrastate Marketer – Main Location $675.00
Each additional bulk plant $145.00
MULTI-STATE MARKETER
- Any person, firm, or corporation operating in the State of New York whose business is the sale of propane gas.
- Sales are made directly to ultimate consumers and/or indirectly through established dealers to ultimate consumers.
- The seller has more than one plant in a state other than the state wherein its principal office is located.
- The seller does less than 90 percent of his gallonage sales in the State of New York.
- To qualify for membership in the New York Propane Gas Association a Multi-State Marketer must be a member of the National Propane Gas Association.
Annual Dues Investment Schedule based on bulk plants:
1 – 25 bulk plants $675.00 + $200.00 per bulk plant
25 – 50 bulk plants $675.00 + $145.00 per bulk plant
ASSOCIATE
Any person, firm or corporation not otherwise qualified for membership and interested in the purposes of this association, such as:
- Wholesale distributors of propane appliances and equipment.
- Manufactures of propane gas products.
- Manufacturer’s agents handling propane gas products.
- Transporters
- Recreation vehicle dealers, camp ground owners and welding supply companies who sell 15,000 gallons or less on an annual basis.
- Industrial user of propane gas not engaged in the resale of the product.
Annual Dues Investment: $275.00
INDIVIDUAL
- Any person employed by an INTRA-STATE, MULTI-STATE, or ASSOCIATE member
- Any person retired from an INTRA-STATE, MULTI-STATE, or ASSOCIATE membership
Annual Dues Investment: $100.00
